Why
Tesla wants $200+ to swap cabin filters. The job is 15 minutes.
Tools
- Trim tool or flat screwdriver
- New OEM cabin filter set (it's two filters)
Step 1: Move passenger seat fully back
Gives you room to work.
Step 2: Remove the kick panel
Pry the panel under the dash on the passenger side. Three plastic clips.
Step 3: Pull the filter cover
One plastic tab. The filter slides out.
Step 4: Replace both filters
Airflow arrow points toward the cabin (away from engine).
Step 5: Snap everything back
Done. AC will smell better immediately.
